Driving
“I like your driving.”
Surprised look. ???
“What’s the word… Very… Sure!”
“But not aggressive.”
Hmm… “I think so,” I thought to myself.
Just yesterday…
“I like the way you drive.”
“You don’t allow yourself to be Bullied by others.”
There are certain things in life you have to be Sure about. To be Steadfast. To stand firmly on your own ground. And not budge. Principles? Is that what we call it? There is a certain way we all ought to conduct our lives. The way we want it. The best and happiest we think or feel. Be Sure. And Not be Bullied.

nvr liked propaganda
One day, I received an email.
“It’s not what you are that matters, but what people think you are.”
Ok, point taken, very practical, very way-about-world. Marketing perspective.
I sent back an email.
“It’s not what people think you are that matters, but what you are.”
Doesn’t this make more sense? I thought to myself. That’s a rhetorical question. I choose the latter. That’s how I would go about my life. Which would you choose?
In a traffic jam, you get impatient and frustrated. On the road, you get angered and annoyed. Is it the car beside you that angered you? Is it the driver in front who annoyed you? Well, nothing and nobody made you angry. You made yourself angry and frustrated.
You know how teachings would say: “The Source of Irritation is in Yourself.” Yes, agreed. But then I say, let’s try to remove the Stimulus. =)
Never taken to propaganda when it’s too in-your-face. Works best when it’s subliminal. When I don’t know about it.

Reason=happenings...?
You know how we like to say:
“Everything Happens for a Reason.”
We try to make sense of Events and of the World around us.
But What If it is just Non-Sense.
Il-Logical, Un-Reasonable and Ir-Rationalisable.
What If some things just So Happened.
By Accident, By Chance, By Random Order, By Chaos.
What then happens through Coincidence and What then happens by Fate?
How are we to Determine?
We try to take control of our lives by Reason and Logic. To gain a measure of control. Of Sanity. We try to string events together and draw a pattern to explain how our lives have become. We chain events together. That this happened because of that. To Be-Come Our Story. Singular events that Come one after another. And we try to link them all up so they all Be-Come. But not everything happens for a reason. As much as it makes us feel better if it is. Till we are ready to realise and accept that some things just So Happened. Ungoverned by Reason. Just Ungoverned. A Flux. Yes, Many Things Happen for a Reason. Some Do Not.
“If we admit that human life can be ruled by reason, then all possibility of life is destroyed.” — Krakauer, Joe. Into The Wild.

Cannonball
“Still a little bit of your taste in my mouth
Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt
Still a little hard to say what’s going on
Still a little bit of your ghost your witness
Still a little bit of your face I haven’t kissed
You step a little closer each day
Still I can’t say what’s going on
Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to lie
Life taught me to die
So it’s not hard to fall
When you float like a cannonball
Still a little bit of your song in my ear
Still a little bit of your words I long to hear
You step a little closer to me
So close that I can’t see what’s going on
Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to cry
So come on courage!
Teach me to be shy
‘Cause it’s not hard to fall
And I don’t wanna scare her
It’s not hard to fall
And I don’t wanna lose
It’s not hard to grow
When you know that you just don’t know”
– Cannonball, Damien Rice.

Azro....taken frm elvin's blog
Azaro.
The spirit-child wanting to be born.
In us, Azaro lives; for We are that spirit-child.
Rebellious and defiant, of hope, of freedom, of potential
There is a Glory, an Honour
in Existence, in Being; in Novelty, in Struggle
In the face of adversity, a valour in fighting
The courage and determination to believe:
no injustice lasts forever
no love ever dies
no light ever extinguished
no road ever complete
no way ever definitive
no truth ever final
“Grow where life puts you down”
Of Claim-ation; of Inscription
Of Agency; of Subjecthood; of Empowerment
To revel in the carnivalesque
the refusal to be, the right to be
It’s a liberation, not a subjugation
Yes, We are that spirit-child. Azaro.
A stillness. A silence. A Dream. A Life.

Wonderful quotes
“Dreams are true while they last, and do we not live in dreams?” — Lord Tennyson, Alfred.
The Higher Pantheism.“I dream, therefore I exist.” — Strindberg, August. A Madman’s Defense.Are we Madmen all…
Perhaps it is to restrain factionalism, arbitrate disagreements, groom and assess future leaders, that the positions of senior minister and minister mentor have been institutionalised,” said Mr Ho, who feels the PAP’s “extraordinary cohesion” over five decades has owed much to “the forceful personality of Lee Kuan Yew”. — Newspaper Article “Possble Singapores, beyond Lee Kuan Yew”.
Mr Lee’s greatest legacy, he said, “is that the Singapore which he so passionately shaped will outlive not only him, but even his own party, should that ever come to pass“. — Newspaper Article “Possble Singapores, beyond Lee Kuan Yew”.
Actually...not dat wonderful.....

Nice story
She:“We were both young when I first saw youI close my eyes and the flashback startsI’m standing there on a balcony in summer airSee the lights, see the party, the ball gownsSee you make your way through the crowd and say, ‘Hello’Little did I know…That you were RomeoYou were throwing pebblesAnd my daddy said, ‘Stay away from Juliet’And I was crying on the staircaseBegging you, ‘Please don’t go’And I said, ‘Romeo, take me somewhere we can be aloneI’ll be waiting, all there’s left to do is runYou’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princessIt’s a love story, Baby just say Yes’
So I sneak out to the garden to see youWe keep quiet ’cause we’re dead if they knewSo close your eyesEscape this town for a little while‘Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letterAnd my daddy said, ‘Stay away from Juliet’But you were everything to meI was begging you, ‘Please don’t go’And I said, ‘Romeo, take me somewhere we can be aloneI’ll be waiting, all there’s left to do is runYou’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princessIt’s a love story, Baby just say Yes’
‘Romeo, Save meThey’re trying to tell me how to feelThis love is difficult but it’s realDon’t be afraidWe’ll make it out of this messIt’s a love story, Baby just say Yes’
I got tired of waitingWondering if you were ever coming aroundMy faith in you was fadingWhen I met you on the outskirts of townAnd I said, ‘Romeo, Save me, I’ve been feeling so aloneI keep waiting, for you but you never comeIs this in my head, I don’t know what to think’He knelt to the ground, and pulled out a ringAnd said, ‘Marry me, Juliet, you’ll never have to be aloneI love you and that’s all I really knowI talked to your dad, you’ll pick out a white dressIt’s a love story, Baby just say Yes’We were both young when I first saw you”– Love Story, Taylor Swift.
He:“There’s something in your eyesIs everything alrightYou look up to the sky, you long for something moreDarling, give me your right handI think I understandFollow me and you will never have to wish again
I know that after tonightYou don’t have to look up to the starsNo, no, no, noI know by the end of tonightYou don’t have to look up at the starsAnd I know that if the love is alrightYou don’t have to look up to the starsNo, no, no, noI know by the end of tonightYou don’t have to look up at the starsNo, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
Tell me how you feelAnd if I’m getting nearI’ll tell you where to stay, you’ll tell me where to steerDa-da-da-darlingWay above the clouds and high above the starsThrough the unknown black holes, no one knows where we areBut we’ll return to Earth and do it all over again

Just for one night, no one will ever knowNo, noDarling, I will leave you satisfiedForever, past timeYou don’t have to hide, you’re free to fly

Love can Overcome All Obstacles.” (Sounds great)But One Obstacle is Enough to Hinder it.Isn’t it?

misunderstandings
Somebody once told meIf you’re misunderstood, it’s your faultYou’re responsible, not the other party
BecauseYou’re responsible for the words that came out of your mouthThat you say them in a way the meaning is correctly put acrossThat the meaning which leaves your mouthis the same meaning received at the other endThat your speech attains its desired effectThen is it useful and effective speechThat it’s not what you said but what was heardThat it’s not what you meant but what people perceived you meantThat people understand you correctlyThat you’re not misunderstoodIf not, it’s your faultYou’re responsible
Yes, very utilitarianVery practical adviceMakes you even more responsible for what you sayIf you aren’t alreadyBut then again…
Now, how much of a responsibility is that? That you’re not only responsible for yourself and what you sayBut you’re also responsible for what others hear or mis-hear, understand or mis-understand?
Is it “Misunderstood”That the whole word comes as one? That the whole word belongs to you?Your responsibility?
Or is it “Mis-understood”That “mis” is added to “understood”?That perhaps at timesIt’s beyond you?
“Misunderstood” or “Mis-understood”?
Learnt this from a friend:“To go on living without fear. Fear of not being[correctly understood or] rightfully acknowledged by everyone.”

The kill of change
Sometimes i wonder, can humans get younger? If so,can we get better lives? Can we change society?Would we be able to modify our looks?Would companies shut down because no one wanted to buy their beauty products?I just sat down and thought about all these things.Change may be good,in good and bad though, there are two sides to the coin. One good, one bad.If it was all good, then it will really not be a coin of change. It will only be a coin of everlasting uncomfortableness, for no human can endure this.....this bliss, this ultimate change. In one moment,I just wondered......if humans could change the oncoming global warming, then would scientists worry until their hair grow white, with patches of grey wticking out of their heads like 2 antenatte?Would our lives be better?Would it?Would it......?
