I got rudely insulted today. By a certain person. My teacher once told me,"If a person can't be nice to you,all the more you should be nice to him/her.There must be something wrong with you that she or her doesn't like.So change your attitude, and get her/him to like you."
But such a thing doesn't come easy.If he/she is very sarcastic, and looks down on you,the temptation to give up is not easily attainable. So i asked my teacher for more advice. He said this,"Try to win back his/her respect. How? By simply putting the message across that you can stand for yourself."
I really hate this. What shall i do?To gain her respect, and risk my soul or to just live on?

That which hurts you does not kill you
“That which hurts you does not kill you.”
For there is no pain so great we cannot deal.
Give me Strength.
& Courage.
& Wisdom.
Detachment from this plot.
Anymore?
Is that all?
I’m not going to die standing.
I’m not even going to die.
For there is no pain so great we cannot deal.
Give me Strength.
& Courage.
& Wisdom.
Detachment from this plot.
Anymore?
Is that all?
I’m not going to die standing.
I’m not even going to die.

Diam si mi Diam??
“I challenge you
to break your pointless steely gaze
that burns with scorn and rage…
with a smile of loving-kindness.
Only then, do you win any staring contest.” — Unknown Source.

WHY SO SERIOUS??
Somebody once suggested to me:
People nowadays no longer want to hear the truth, or heartfelt words, or need to see what is real, or the genuine side of things. That’s passe, no longer in fashion, boring, and it doesn’t get you anywhere. People want to hear words pleasant to the ears, what they want to hear, that are light, not too heavy, that need not be serious, for the fun of it, no need to be of substance, can be superficial, not to be taken seriously, of entertainment value, spontaneous, that show your reaction, say-it-here-and-forget-about-it-here type. Because life is heavy and tiring enough as it is. Is the explanation and rationale behind it.
Yes, a lot of times, I find myself taking things a bit too seriously. Taking the people around me too seriously. Taking life a bit too seriously. Taking myself too seriously. To attach too much value to everything said and done. I’m out-of-fashion, I guess. Not keeping up with the times.
“WhY sO SeRioUs?”
“DoN’T taKe mE sO SeRioUsly, wiLL U?”
Set. =)

Bad Mouth
It really doesn’t take much to badmouth others, to criticise, and to discredit.
It definitely takes a lot more to give others credit, to give them the benefit of the doubt; it takes generosity of spirit and magnanimity.
Increasingly, I find our youths, our world, badmouthing others so easily, with so little effort and concern, it has become a habit, a hobby. Especially under the veil of anonymity, behind people’s backs, on the Internet. We are becoming a very critical, cynical, and negative bunch. It really doesn’t take much to badmouth others, does it?
Yes, it’s fun to badmouth others. Fun. That’s all. For that moment. But does it make you happier? Or does it in fact make you and your own world more negative? We all have the license to speak and badmouth and criticise, by virtue of our mouths. It’s free. But perhaps, we would like to take more responsibility in what we say? To display more maturity and integrity in our words and actions?
Remember. When we point at someone else using our hand, one finger is pointing at them but three fingers are pointing back at ourselves.
The next time we want to badmouth others, think again.
I badmouth you. You badmouth me. Do we really want a dog-eat-dog world?
My answer is No. What’s yours?

Disclaimer
Haha… I never knew I needed a disclaimer here. I have received messages from friends asking me, “Are you depressed? Are you alright? You sound sad and unhappy,” after reading my blog. Then, I found myself beginning to use more smiley faces ”=)” in my blog to avoid being misunderstood. After all, it’s the “Era of the Emoticons” (”emoticons”, they call it), when words on the printed page through smses and email have to be backed up by a variety of symbols of facial expressions and emotion, so that the tone and mood of your content is made clear. Unfortunately however, I really do not like to use these emoticons in my writing. Feels strange. Never found myself belonging to this impersonal, computerised and high-tech era after all, though I’m trying hard. Anyway, my disclaimer is:
“My blog may seem blue and moody but really, it’s not. Perhaps, it’s just my writing style. Tend to be more reflective and ponder on things. A lot of times, my writing is in 3rd person and adopts a neutral mood or distanced perspective. Anger and sadness are removed; hopefully, it’s in a state of equilibrium. In fact, I think I’m very forward-looking and positive in my writing. I’m happy, not sad; optimisitic, not pessimistic; realistic; not idealistic.”
So there you have it. That’s my disclaimer. Haha… Not forgetting… =)

Over rated or under rated??
Somebody once asked me, “Do you think celebs are overrated or underrated?”
Well…
“To say that a celeb is overrated undermines the value and effort he/she puts into his/her work as well as the quality and influence of his/her work; to say that a celeb is underrated places excessive importance on his/her status. ”
is all I can say.
There is no overrated or underrated. Only thing certain is: A celeb is subject to rating and judgement. In fact to some extent, everyone of us is subject to rating and judgement. Just as we are also the source. I think the more important question to ask is, “Whether overrated or underrated, is it fair or not?” Again, there is no definitive answer to this question.
Be it overrated or underrated, fair or unfair, it lies with the one doing the rating, not the one rated. One still goes about one’s work the same way, with as much pride, dignity, and professionalism. Nothing really changes. The world still goes round, in the same unaffected manner. Everything else that happens outside the individual remains outside the individual and external to the individual. There is “everything” and there is “everything else”.
At the end of the day, what matters. “Celeb” is a term, just like ”manager”, “director”, “doctor”, placed on an individual going about his/her job. It does not matter overrated or underrated, but the respect deserving of, afforded, and essential to any individual.
Respect is the word. For others. But more importantly, for oneself.
“Celeb” is a frivolous term; I don’t think of myself as a “celeb” first and foremost.
So…
“Do you think you are overrated or underrated?”
is the question I pose back to you.

3 girls...one unique
I cant understand people.Once,a fortune teller told me that i would meet 3 similar girls....which would all end up being my good friends.I've met all 3....and 2 seem nice. But the 3rd....is terrible.I wanted to be her friend...she didnt.I didnt want to force her.....but she kept using words to hurt me.Yes...the words were correct, and true, but as all human beings know....no one likes to be chided.Now...she has found her bestest friend....and i am happy for her.Although she is popular.....i know...that if she continues like dis....the person eating bittergourd life....would be her.
