Disclaimer

Haha… I never knew I needed a disclaimer here. I have received messages from friends asking me, “Are you depressed? Are you alright? You sound sad and unhappy,” after reading my blog. Then, I found myself beginning to use more smiley faces ”=)” in my blog to avoid being misunderstood. After all, it’s the “Era of the Emoticons” (”emoticons”, they call it), when words on the printed page through smses and email have to be backed up by a variety of symbols of facial expressions and emotion, so that the tone and mood of your content is made clear. Unfortunately however, I really do not like to use these emoticons in my writing. Feels strange. Never found myself belonging to this impersonal, computerised and high-tech era after all, though I’m trying hard. Anyway, my disclaimer is:
“My blog may seem blue and moody but really, it’s not. Perhaps, it’s just my writing style. Tend to be more reflective and ponder on things. A lot of times, my writing is in 3rd person and adopts a neutral mood or distanced perspective. Anger and sadness are removed; hopefully, it’s in a state of equilibrium. In fact, I think I’m very forward-looking and positive in my writing. I’m happy, not sad; optimisitic, not pessimistic; realistic; not idealistic.”
So there you have it. That’s my disclaimer. Haha… Not forgetting… =)
